Venturing outside on this muggy humid weather in the upper 80’s and even 90’s, I took a quick walk with my Nikon DSLR and 50mm lens F/1.4. The heat brought me back inside faster than I wanted. You can never take enough photos unless you are being paid by a project.
Sharing the favorite images of that walk using a popular “portrait lens” at the Knoch Knolls Nature Center in Naperville, Illinois.
Have a look. I prefer a wider lens, yet it’s a good practice to experiment with focal lengths in environments where you have to find a “frame in camera” opposed to cropping it later. It’s exercise for a photographer’s eyes, mind & legs.
